Our Playa office is in the center of town, and you can also pick the car up at Cancun Airport and return it here. Every rental includes third-party liability insurance, unlimited mileage and 24/7 roadside assistance, and the total with taxes is shown before you pay.

- Unlimited mileage: perfect for hopping between cenotes, parks and beaches.
- 24/7 roadside assistance.
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup (see the cancellation policy).

Pick up at the airport, drop off in Playa
If you stay in Playa del Carmen, the cheapest way to avoid the return trip to Cancun is a one-way rental: pick up at Cancun Airport and return the car at our Playa office. A fixed drop-off fee applies by vehicle category and is shown before you book. Prefer a round trip? Return it in Cancun at no extra fee. Day trips by car from Playa del Carmen
- Xcaret, Xplor and Xenses (10 minutes): the parks are just south of Playacar and have parking.
- Cenotes (20 to 30 minutes): Cenote Azul, Jardín del Edén, Cristalino and Chikin Ha are close to the highway.
- Akumal (25 minutes): snorkeling with sea turtles; arrive early.
- Puerto Morelos (30 minutes): a quiet fishing village near a well-preserved reef.

- Chichén Itzá (about 2.5 hours): by the 180D toll road from Cancun or the free road through Valladolid.
Which car to choose
All of these trips are on paved roads, so a compact or midsize car is enough and cheaper to run. Choose an SUV or minivan if you are four or more with luggage. Compare real prices by category when you search.
Driving and parking in Playa del Carmen
- Quinta Avenida is pedestrian only; the surrounding streets are one way.
- Parking: the center has metered street spots, and paid lots on Avenida 10 and Avenida 30 charge by the hour or the day.
